An explanatory note from Allister who, along with Christine, has written this month's Prayer Diary: (SEE BELOW)
"This month’s Prayer Diary, which covers the conclusion of Lent, Palm Sunday and the events of Easter, includes three Easter-oriented sculpture images. These were taken in February of parts of the Passion Facade on the Sagrada Familia Basilica in Barcelona. A building dedicated to visually presenting God’s Word to everyone to God’s glory, and only paid for by many individuals’ contributions over more than a century (no business/commercial donations are acceptable). Praise God!
Each original sculpture has, in movie parlance, Easter Eggs; which means elements that have a significance for those in the know, in our case for those who are Christians or familiar with the amazing Christian architect Antoni Gaudi’s work. I have retained the PDF image in high quality, so that you can zoom in on the PDF to see the detail and the “Easter Eggs”. The full sculptures include carefully positioned Bible references that I have had to crop out of the PDF image so as to ensure the image fits the Prayer Diary. The first is taken from Mark 14:45, the second is from Matthew 29:19, and the third is from Luke 22:60. In the prayer diary the images are shown next to different but applicable, or in the case of the last image no, Bible verses; although there is a related scriptural challenge around the last image. We will share the Easter Egg “answers” in the May TVP Newsletter as family fun for those who wish to be curious."
